BOO-FUCKIN'-YAH!
Just got off the phone with the recruiter. I've got a six-month contract at Equitable starting on April 7th. They don't tend to hire contract guys from what I understand, but they don't have a problem extending contracts.
Now comes the obligatory drug test and background check (Monday morning), and then I join the ranks of the employed again.
Which means the entry for April 8th will mostly amount to bitching about how early I have to wake up :)
No drug test after all. Granted, the guy asked if I was willing to take a drug test... but usually you don't ask someone "are you willing to do x" without following up with "please do x". Or maybe Equitable will have me do it; who knows.
The only thing I know for sure is that I start work next Monday at 8:00.

Wow. And to think I strain my brain for like 5 minutes to come up with posts like that.
The current hope is, that once I actually have to leave the apartment for extended periods of time every day, I'll have something worth posting here. But looking back at what I wrote before I got cannned, I'm not getting my hopes up.
