<p>Well, I missed it while I was out of town for <a href="http://www.tekkoshocon.com">Tekkoshocon</a>, but as of April 2nd this blog has been in existence for 10 years. <p>I got my first computer for Christmas, my freshman year of college. In addition to being far less powerful than a years-old smartphone, it came with a 420-megabyte hard drive. At the time this was pretty good-sized; MS-DOS didn't take up much room, and there was no such thing as online video. Even MP3s had just been invented the year before, and besides that my computer wasn't fast enough to decode them on the fly. <p>Well, my web host got bought out. (They're an <a href="http://bluegravity.com">"adult hosting"</a> site now, but whatever.) But apparently password-protecting a directory is beyond them nowadays.
