I recently discovered several thousand bits of comment-spam in my blog. After I "shut off" comments. Apparently hiding the page isn't enough: They seem to have stored a list of good URLs and keep going back to them. I've now disabled the database insert on the pages, meaning that if I ever do turn commenting on again I'm going to spend at least 20 minutes figuring out why nothing's happening.
If you know anyone who does the comment-spam thing, do me a favor and skull-fuck them with a red-hot poker, 'kay? Thanks.
