I don't know how it always winds up this way, but since I started at Lock Media I've always had to stay late the day after Daylight Saving Time ends, meaning I make a rapid switch from driving home just before sunset to driving home in the dark. It just makes things feel much later than they really are. It was nice, though, having some sunlight when I woke up this morning. Made it easier to get moving.
The inverse of this will come next spring when I bitch about DST starting up again and pushing my wake-up time back into pre-dawn. It's so difficult to wake up when it's dark out, I'll whine.
I guess it just means that you really can set your watch by my complaining.
Oh, one thing I noticed: It helps if you forget to set your clocks back before you go to bed Saturday night. You wake up at, say, 9:30 Daylight Time and set your clocks back to 8:30. Then you go about your day offset by an hour before going to bed an hour early. That way you get that extra hour when you need it, instead of in the middle of the weekend when you can sleep all you want anyway.
